Ingredients
1 1/2cupschicken broth
3Tbspminced garlic
2Tbspold bay seasoning
2TbspCajun seasoning
1Tbspdried parsley
2tspsugar
1 1/2tspsalt
1/2tspground black pepper
1/2tspcayenne pepper(optional)
1small onionthinly sliced
1 1/2lb.baby yellow potatoes
6half ears of frozen corn on the cob
14oz.precooked smoked or Cajun sausagesliced thick
1stick unsalted buttercut into 8 pieces
2lbs.frozen large shrimp(I use peeled and deveined)
3Tbsplemon juice
Optional for serving: lemon wedges and crusty bread
Instructions
Add the chicken broth to a large slow cooker. Add the garlic, old bay, cajun seasoning, parsley, sugar, salt, pepper, and (optional) cayenne pepper. Whisk to combine.
Add the onion, potatoes, and corn. Stir to coat the vegetables in the sauce and seasoning.
Add the sausage and butter on top of the vegetables.
Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or high for 3-4 hours.
Add the shrimp and lemon juice. Stir well. Cover and cook just until the shrimp is cooked through, 15-20 minutes.
