These apple blondies are the perfect treat to bring to a Fall get-together, Halloween party, or even Thanksgiving.

How To Make Apple Blondies

  • Melt butter in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add brown sugar and granulated sugar.
  • Mix.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 Tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups apples peeled and chopped

For the Maple Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 8 oz. cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 Tablespoons maple syrup

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350ยฐ F. Spray a 9×13" baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Add the butter to a large heat proof mixing bowl. Melt the butter then let it cool slightly.
  • Add the brown sugar and granulated sugar. Mix with an electric mixer or a whisk until well combined.
  • Add the eggs, maple syrup, and vanilla. Mix until well combined.
  • Add the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Mix until no dry flour remains.
  • Add the chopped apples. Stir with a spoon or silicone spatula until the apples are evenly incorporated.
  • Transfer the batter to the baking dish. Spread it out into an even layer.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes. A toothpick inserted into the center of the blondies should come out with moist crumbs, but no raw batter.
  • As the blondies bake, prepare the maple cream cheese frosting. Add the softened cream cheese and brown sugar to a mixing bowl. Mix with an electric mixer or a whisk until well combined.
  • Add the maple syrup. Mix until well combined.
  • Once the blondies have cooled completely, top them with the frosting. Spread it out into an even layer.
  • Slice into 16 pieces.
