How To Make Apple Blondies

- Melt butter in a large mixing bowl.
- Add brown sugar and granulated sugar.
- Mix.
- Add eggs, maple syrup, and vanilla.
- Mix.
- Add flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Mix.
- Add peeled and chopped apples.
- Stir.
- Transfer the batter to a baking dish.
- Bake.
- Add softened cream cheese and brown sugar to a mixing bowl.
- Mix.
- Add maple syrup.
- Mix.
- Once the blondies are cool, top with the maple cream cheese frosting.
- Spread the frosting out evenly.
- Slice the blondies.
How To Store
Since the maple cream cheese frosting has cream cheese in it, store these apple blondies covered in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup light brown sugar packed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 Tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups apples peeled and chopped
For the Maple Cream Cheese Frosting
- 8 oz. cream cheese softened
- 1 cup light brown sugar packed
- 2 Tablespoons maple syrup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ยฐ F. Spray a 9×13" baking dish with cooking spray.
- Add the butter to a large heat proof mixing bowl. Melt the butter then let it cool slightly.
- Add the brown sugar and granulated sugar. Mix with an electric mixer or a whisk until well combined.
- Add the eggs, maple syrup, and vanilla. Mix until well combined.
- Add the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Mix until no dry flour remains.
- Add the chopped apples. Stir with a spoon or silicone spatula until the apples are evenly incorporated.
- Transfer the batter to the baking dish. Spread it out into an even layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes. A toothpick inserted into the center of the blondies should come out with moist crumbs, but no raw batter.
- As the blondies bake, prepare the maple cream cheese frosting. Add the softened cream cheese and brown sugar to a mixing bowl. Mix with an electric mixer or a whisk until well combined.
- Add the maple syrup. Mix until well combined.
- Once the blondies have cooled completely, top them with the frosting. Spread it out into an even layer.
- Slice into 16 pieces.
